If you're\r\nMarcus, you go gardening, retreating to a quiet life in\r\nthe German countryside, occasionally DJing for your\r\nfriends in LCD Soundsystem when they invite you to\r\nopen a week's worth of shows, and working on music\r\nwhen you can. Y'know, life stuff.\r\nSo, it took awhile, but eventually new songs landed\r\non the proverbial desk at DFA HQ. There were rough\r\nand tough. The Robot had returned and he was going\r\nstraight for the chugular.\r\nAfter all that, finishing the record was like lightning in\r\na bottle. A few days fleshing things out with Al Doyle\r\n(of Hot Chip, LCD Soudnsystem) in London. Vocals\r\nadded from Suzi Horn (of Prinzhorn Dance School\r\non the leadoff) and Warmduscher's Mutado Pintado.\r\nA razor-sharp mix of the whole thing from James\r\nMurphy at DFA in Brooklyn.\r\nFive tightly wound, unfussy, completely diabolical\r\ndance tracks.
